12th-Mar-2009 09:47 am - Who cares, what bodypart it is? [advertisement, design, rl]
Do you know this: You sit a your bus stop and look at those extremely huge posters for five or ten minutes until your bus arrives. What now, if there is an add, which makes you think so hard that you can't forget it and have to solve the problem. This happened to me and maybe one of you can enlighten me.

My problem is this add: Natural Healing (Watch it with the greatest zoom factor, because I already said, at bus stop adds are like super huge!)

And now you maybe can tell me what bodypart this one at the left border is. I guess it should be an arm, but a.) try to make that pose in exactly the same way and don't dislocate your shoulder b.) why does she have arm hairs on her right arm, but not on the left.

My flatmate and I came to different conclusions:

- There's a man standing in front of her. (It's his arm.)
- She is rubber woman and will save the world with her "Elasty Power".
- It's her knee, pulled up so high, we see her hairy legs.
- It's not a bodypart at all, it's soil for those beautiful flowers (which by the way break their natural growing pattern at her chin).

14th-Apr-2008 09:50 pm - Commercials and Homosexuality [advertisement, homosexuality, videos]
Some days ago, I posted a German Debitel advertisement on [info]slashy_hotness, which put a wrong complexion on the brotherly kiss between Breschnew and Honecker. The slogan of the ad made the historical act seem like some slashy event (Slogan: "Everyone with everyone"). All in all the ambiguity of the combined text and image made the ad awfully hilarious, because you just can't try to interpret some sexual meaning into a brotherly kiss. Anyway, this made me think of homosexuality (or rather instrumentally used homosexual images) in advertisements and commercials.

Some videos and my ramblings )
