4th-Mar-2008 11:45 pm - Panic at the Disco - Concert in Munich [bands, music, patd]
On Sunday I was at the "Panic at the Disco" concert in Munich. It was absolutely great! I knew that the voice of Brendon is fantastic, but I never knew he had such a volume. There was one part in a song, where he sang really high and I got goosebumps.
The band performed the good old songs (Yeah, also my favourite "I write sins not tragedies") and of course they presented some songs from the new album "Pretty.Odd", which will be released this month. I had the chance to hear the album already and guys, it's spectacular. They keep their happy and energetic style, but there's less electro sound and more instruments. One song sounds like a Wild West story, another one is like a barock ball. One of my favourites is "The Green Gentleman". "Mad as Rabbits" is also great. I was surprised to hear that Brendon is not the only lead singer on this album. In some songs Ryan sings great parts and in my opinion his voice is very pleasant. The album is an absolute "must have" for me. It's even better than the first one.

I also heard that the guys will abandoned the exclamation mark in their bandname. It's kind of sad, because I liked the look of it. Made it slightly aggressive and caught the attention. But okay, if they don't want it anymore. As long as they keep on making such awesome music, who am I to complain.

Oh yeah, what I didn't mention: There were two opening act. The first was the band "Dúné", the second band was "Black Gold". I can highly recommend "Dúné" (I bought their CD, because their Live performance really fascinated me). Their lead singer has a very clear and powerful voice. I really loved it. Check out their songs "80 Years" and "Dry Lips"! Here's a link to their myspace site.
The second band was not bad, but not really good either. I don't like it, when the music overpowers the singer and he follows the song rather than to control it. Anyway, here's their myspace site.
29th-Sep-2007 01:23 pm - Music was my first love! [bands, music, videos]
Hello there!
Because I had a very fresh start into my day and am full of energy, I want to talk about the thing which mades me get up so dynamic: Music.

First thing I do in the morning is always turning on my radio. I give the radio station 10 to 20 seconds to catch me with their programme. Today was one of the many days I turned the radio off again and instead listened to one of my CDs: “Sam’s Town” by “The Killers” (very good album).

“When You Were Young” and “Sam’s Town” are my favourite songs. But I really like the whole album. My flatmate Caro agrees. She didn’t know “The Killers” unto this morning and I think I created a fan (muahahaha!).

The four songs I am currently into:

Kansas -> Carry on Wayward Son
Johnossi -> Man Must Dance
Beatsteaks -> Jane Became Insane
Travis -> Selfish Jean
